ASTRA Clubs were established in 1966 by Altrusa International president Lucile Spillers Alexander, a charter member of Altrusa International Inc. of Jacksonville, FL. As of July 2006 there were 71 ASTRA Clubs operating worldwide. ****************** AWARDS ASTRA clubs are encouraged to submit the various service projects that they participate in for Altrusa Awards given each year at District conferences. For four years in a row our local ASTRA clubs have placed in the "Lucile Spillers Alexander ASTRA Service Award" |
